Happy one-year anniversary RaleighForward!
During our first year, we worked hard producing content explaining how decisions are made in Raleigh. We wrote numerous posts under “Raleigh 101” explaining the City’s land use planning process and how Raleigh makes planning and rezoning decisions. We even published a guide for navigating agendas on the City’s website. We wrote numerous articles about housing affordability. We proposed new ways for the City to build a more effective resident engagement program. Last but not least, we explored issues and policies that promote community prosperity.
However, as you can see from our 5 most viewed posts since we launched last April, people are really interested in housing affordability:

Rapid Population Growth is not Causing Raleigh’s Housing Affordability Crisis
While we are proud of the progress we made in our first year, we have more work ahead. We have three programs planned this Summer on resident engagement, housing affordability and a citizen’s guide to traffic impact analysis.
We need your help building our capacity as the 2024 Council election approaches. For too long, we have been a community that reacts. But, with your continued help and support, RaleighForward can change this narrative. We want to build an organization that seizes the initiative, builds coalitions and leads the policy-making process.
If you are interested in helping build RaleighForward into that organization, please get involved by contacting eric@raleighforward.org or consider donating below.
Onward and upward!
