RaleighForward needs your help building a sustainable platform.

RaleighForward consistently delivers results by producing and delivering accurate, informative newsletters and a regularly updated website. RaleighForward also sponsors programs and social events that bring like-minded people together to help make Raleigh an even better place to live, work and play.  

Recently, RaleighForward was the only community organization publicly advocating for Council to transition to 4-year staggered terms. Similarly, RaleighForward published information raising concerns about the risks of increasing the size of Council from 8 to 11 by adding 3 new district seats, not to mention the lack of public engagement on the issue. RaleighForward members spoke out against the expansion proposal during public meetings. Supporters also met with Councilors to discuss the risks of destroying the current equilibrium between at-large and district representation. These collective efforts were instrumental in Council’s decision to abandon the effort to increase the size of Council.
