April 14: The week ahead in Raleigh

City Council meets on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.  Here some of the agenda items we are watching:

  1. During the 11:30 work session, staff will present information to Council about potential amendments to the City’s Public/Private Partnership Policy. The policy was first enacted in 2017 and was limited to infrastructure improvements. Staff is proposing to broaden the policy so it can be used in a wider variety of situations. Click here for the agenda materials.

  2. As indicated in the communication above, Council will continue deliberations on Resolutions of Intent to move Council to 4-year staggered terms and increase the size of Council by adding 3 district seats. Click here for the agenda materials.
